Been buying quite a few old 700s from auctions and estate sales recently and I've gotten 2 with Redfield bases and rings that as far as I can tell are the type used on M40s. One is the 4 small screws that go in from the top and the other is the bottom mount screws, which I understand are later. They DO NOT have to 1-66 markings or the 40-X marking on the base,it's all straight 700 stuff.
Is this stuff worth something to the people building M40 clones or should I just stuff them in the ring and base box with all the other loose ends?
Thanks in advance, TJR
