Thanks Robert. They are about 1:45 minutes away, but that may be the best option. I do not want to go somewhere that was not recommended. I am not to sure of the local shops capabilities after talking to a few about having it done. They all want to send it to the “Smith” who I can’t talk to.

I just had my 308 and 6.5 threaded at Thunderbeast. They have done a fantastic job, great price, and 10 day turnaround.

Did you ship them the rifle or just the action? Would prefer to not have to ship.

You can ship just the action, that is an option. I just took off my scopes and shipped them the whole rifle in a double hard case. FedEx put it in a box and shipped it, coat $125 dollars . Very easy to deal with. Will definitely use them again.

I have a 270 I'll be sending in a couple of months.
