“In a time of deceit telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

    ― George Orwell

Ive been talking a lot lately about Nathaniel Hawthorne "The Scarlet Letter".

Not the most interesting of books.....kind of a chick book but its got some MILF action in it.

Any way my as late reference to Nat's book is in regards to how today we live in the opposite reality......the refusal to adopt the symbol of the mask is now the reason for shame. Being without the brand is reason for shunning.

This person saw value in Hawthorne for his original idea of forgiveness and the disgust at Puritanical habit of public shaming......let he who hath not sinned cast the first stone.

Now you are a racist if you call someone out for their ignorance.

I'd suggest folks stock up on any classics they like in actual printed book form and any old movies they like in actual DVD format.
Electronic stuff is all the rage, but like Amazon showed with ironically the book 1984, what you think you "own" and have on your own devices can suddenly be totally gone with no record that you ever had it or ever bought it...

That's before you get into them being able to "edit" or "revise" stuff that you hold electronically.
That's not just your dedicated e-book readers, stuff on your phones, tablets and even most PCs and Laptops can be edited remotely or removed by the software house / hardware place if it's "harmful stuff".

People need to learn how to read and remember events without relying on a couple big corporations to essentially decide what will be history or not.
At the rate we are going, they don't even need to erase anything, just make it not come up in their easy helpful index...
