Rifle Scopes Oval milliradian scopes?

Doubtful, pretty much all of your modern FFP scopes have etched glass reticles in them so that more than likely means a round mildot reticle or some other form of mil-based reticle (e.g. TMR, MLR2.0, H58, etc.). I believe some of the Premier Reticles modified Leupold scopes had 3/4 (oval) mildots but if you find one the second hand market keep in mind that there is no support for them if something breaks or wears out. Premier is gone and Leupold won't touch it for fear of breaking something and being responsible for replacing a whole scope.

Easier to remember sizing units, from what I understand. I'm still very new to optics. 1/4 mil center to edge, 3/4 mil edge to edge, etc.

Actually when using mils breaking down into .1 mil is easier and that's the reason most scopes use round mil dots that are .2 mils so one edge is .1 mil above and the other is .1 mil below the mil mark. I used to have a scope with oval dots from Premier as Trigger spoke of and it was more difficult to break down the mil with it being .25 mils. Do yourself a favor and use a reticle with a round dot or hash marks and .5 mil marks. Easier to use.

absolutely!

There's a reason you don't find oval mildots anymore, they suck. Rob01 is spot on.

Me personally, while of course I can use mildots very well, hashmarks are best for both holds and ranging.
