Just put my new demo T-beast can on and the POI was small and sound reduction outstanding!!!

I was jammed for time at the range and was happy getting zeroed and doing a quick 100 to 300 speed test on clays. I did notice a largte amount of excess gas and soot in the reciever and in the magazine. Anyone have any feedback on gas adjustments. I have a JP adjustable block and will likely tune next Friday so any lessens leaRNED OR GUIDANCE IS APPRECIATED

You are gonna get blow back reguardless. Now the question is will you run the can exclusively on this rifle, or are you going to shoot it without the can as well?

My suggestion is if you are going to ALWAYS run the can then adjust the gas to where with the can on it cycles and works reliably and leave it at that.

Now if you are going to run it with the can and with out the can adjust without the can to the smallest amount of gas it takes to cycle, then set it and forget it. And just deal with the excess amount that the can pushes back when shooting with the can.

How are you liking the build so far? I think you will like the TBAC as well. Once I tweak it I will post update. I should be shooting it Friday afternoon

Loving it, super solid now. I had to have them re-drill the barrel because the port they put in it originally wasn't big enough to cycle reliably.

I'm pumped about the can, now to the wait... I look forward to your info when you tune yours.

Just remember that the biggest hole that allows gas back into the action is the chamber itself. If you fire a few rounds and then let one sit in the chamber and then eject it, you'll see it has carbon streaks caked on the cartridge. Not even a piston system would prevent this.

I have the Armalite Super SASS block on my build. I have a custom block available from Paladin Machine. It has 3 settings..open, restricted, and closed...ID .875". PM me if interested.

    Zak

You described the ammo perfectly!!! and it makes total sense. My goal is to use this demo can tp educate myself to answer so of the many questions that arise.

    Thx
