Last day of the season buck for Owen....I ran the range finder....620 meters in a 15mph cross wind....good shooting my friend!!

Rifle/load/optics specs? Where was the point of aim? Where was the point of impact? Walking? Running? What happened after it was hit?

Thanks guys...the rifle is a .308 GAP built, Surgeon action, 26" Bartlein medium palma bbl, Jewel trigger, McM Gap camo A5 stock, M4 bottom metal, O.D. cerekote. Topped of with a mil/mil 5x25 PMII S&B with P3 reticle, and a Montana Sling on flush mount swivels. I use Lapua brass, 155 Lapua Scenar, 46.4 grs. of Varget@2950 fps. I had a really good spotter with me on this hunt, with a really good range finder, after some discussion on the wind I held 1.7 mils and smacked him in the shoulder. The bullet went through both shoulders, the buck only made it a few steps and fell over dead.
