Re: Plug for Southwest Ammunition

I am only asking not trying start a war.... I am just curious if any of you has tested this ammo out past 500 yds to see if it remains this accurate and not just hitting steal I mean accuracsy on paper showing points of impact. I am interested in all the good reviews but 100yds tells me very little as most factory ammo usually shoots well at 100yds but starts to fall off at and beyond 500yds where reloading ammo usually has a true advantage. Just curious to see if anyone has truly tested this ammo becuase I would love to hear those reiews

Thanks

Thanks

I have shot more rounds of this ammo then I can count and there has not been a day that I wasnt super happy with its performance.

Out past 500 the shooter comes into play a lot more. Just keep that in mind.

Not a bragging plug, but I won summer mammoth shooting the 308 175 Win brass. Thought that might help explain the accuracy of this ammo.

Also look to Lowlights reviews of this ammo. He has video of this ammo past 500.

Re: Plug for Southwest Ammunition

i shot a 600yd F-Class match last Sunday at Louisville, NE. I had one particular 10 shot string of 99/100 and 7X. They posted a new target for one of my relays, so when i went into the pits i saw my 20 rounds for score marked by the black pasters. The vertical was no more than an X-ring for 20 shots. So, it was super stuff.

FGMM does pretty damn well at that distance as well, but i feel i was not at a disadvantage with all the handloaders.

25man,
I've run over 200 ( 2 different rifles and 2 different ammo shipments ) rds out to 800 & 1000 -- <.5 moa in the .4 range w 3 shot groups. at this point im pretty sold on this for a reasonably price ammo......

Ha ha ha, put a comma between some one. I know what you mean but it was funny reading it.

I can't wait to try the 175 Win out of my Surgeon.
Anybody have any input on the 168 Amax?

They performed the same as the 175s out of my savage at 100-200, so I stuck with the 175 because of their edge at 1k
