What is the use of the four horizontal lines at the bottom of the P4F reticle? What does a competition shooter need them for?

Re: P4F reticle question...

From what I remember, L is the distance from the top of a male head to the bottom at 100y, M is the same only 150, N is 200, O is 250.

Then they do the same thing from the top of the head to the belt line on a male, only at further distances, and I don't remember how those correlate.

For a competition shooter, I don't know where it would have a ton of value, unless you are shooting IPSC silhouettes.

The reticle subtensions are in milliradians. Any 'clicks' can be used to adjust it.

That is what baffles me, why would you want to have MOA adjustments on a MIL reticle on a $3200 scope. I can see having them on a $400 scope such as the SWFA SS (mine) when there is little choice but to buy a different scope.I have a NXS 5.5-22 NP-R1 with 1/4 MOA knobs on order to have matching reticle/knobs.

It's just an option. Just like CW or CCW turrets or your choice of reticle.
