I'm contemplating a re-barrel and the PAC-NOR Polygonal barrel has my attention , I'd much appreciate opinions and data from people that are currently using a PAC-NOR Poly Barrel .
I have not decided on cartridge as of yet but I'm leaning toward 6.5CM or 260REM 26", 1n8 twist medium or heavy Palma and possibly the PAC-NOR Brake
Thanks !

I used to have a 300WM with a Pacnor poly rifled bbl , it was excellent. Great accuracy and super easy cleaning. I kick myself daily for selling that rifle . The man I bought it from set several range records at our local range with it .

I have a Pac-Nor on a stock Savage in 260 picked up on the cheap. It shoots anything I feed it three quarter and under every bit as good as the Hawk Hill and Brux on the other rifles although the Brux is a faster barrel compared to other rifles in the same caliber that I have. I don't think I have cleaned it yet but I suspect it will be easy like others have stated. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another.

That's encouraging news , what is your opinions regarding the PAC-NOR muzzle brake ? if you've used one ?.
PAC-NOR offers in house re-barreling along with their brake and if I go this route it will be most convenient for me but if their brake is ehhh ! I might pass on the brake !

I had them simply thread my barrel. Then I bought an APA Gen2 Lil B*stard brake. Pretty easy to install with the jambnut. Area 419 also makes some nice brakes that are very easy to install with minimal tools.

i have the same question going in my head as well. i am going to rebarrel my savage 10 to a 260 rem with a 26" barrel but looking at bartlien and pacnor. bugholes will prefit the bartlien for the same price as the pacnor. i was looking at the 3 groove but is there a reason to go polygonal vs grooved?

It's my understanding that the Poly barrels are a little faster and last a little longer but I could be completely wrong about that . The other barrel maker I've been looking at is Schneider as they also produce a Poly barrel which I believe the USMC contracts out from them , again I could be completely wrong about that also . So as you can see I'm of no help at all , Hah !

I don't have a poly from pacnor, but I have one of their 5 grooves in 280 ackley and love it. I also got their brake. One of the reasons I like it is it's timed. Which allows me to hand tighten and remove it which is convenient when I want to run my suppressor.

Had a Pac-Nor 1:6.5" 3-groove on a NM AR-15 built by John Holliger at White Oak Precision. I easily got my Master Classification with that rifle and shot a couple 1000yd matches with 90gr JLKs. An iron sight AR in 223 at 1000yds is a challenge but that rifle made it almost easy ... almost.
