I bought a stock off the hide that was painted with Krylon. Not sure if the original finish is any good, but just incase, i want to remove the Kyrlon. I know acetone will do it, but it will also etch the plastic into a white haze. what's the best way to get the kyrlon off without hurting the plastic. Thanks.

I've used this stuff on Magpul stocks with great success - just brush it on (it's a gel) and watch it bubble and then it wipes/hoses right off.

The shit is toxic as hell though and will bubble skin as easy as paint. I applied it with a throwaway brush, used gloves and did it outside and it was fine. I threw some cardboard down and scrubbed the removed paint off the PRS with a tooth brush and onto it (the cardboard). Cleanup was easy that way.

Then I hosed off the PRS and wiped it dry. Acetone is balls compared to this stuff.

Re: Paint Removal

Hell of note, the aircraft stripper melts latex gloves and burns your skin, but doesn't melt the plastic. I'll find out tommorow I just bought the aircraft stripper, and tried it on an old stock, before using it on the important one, and it didn't even etch it or anything. Made a believer out of me. Thanks for all the info guys.
