    Very worthwhile post! Thanks for the info, and congrats on how nice the 10-22 stock turned out. I'm looking at doing something very much like that on a B&C #2015 stock for my 40XB repeater conversion. If I order it with the textured black finish, it shouldn't be too hard to add some tan & OD, followed by the matte clear to wind up with something close to a GAP camo finish....I hope.
     
    Looks great!! I was trying to find a picture of my old 10/22 with the Boyd's tacticool that I "rattle canned" in GAP camo.
     
    Did you do anything to prep the stock before applying the paint. I have thought about doing the same thing using rustoleum paint to do a Tikka sporter stock I have.
