Painting a MDT HNT 26

Has anyone painted a MDT HNT26? I have a black one and wanting to maybe sponge paint it to help it blend in for coyote calling. It looks to have a clear coat already.

Just get some rattle cans of colors you want and let the grandson dab sponges over it. Won't hurt it, and you two will have fun!!

I saw what looks to be one on Primal Finish photo page. Lots more $$ but they do have some nice patterns.
