Palmetto State Armory HELP

Anyone know how to contact Palmetto State Armory? I tried to call them and it just goes to a message stating to email them.

I placed an ammo order on Feb 14th 2012 and since I live in Illinois I sent them my FOID. I emailed them to confirm they received it and they replied that they didnt. So I replied with my FOID and ID plus asked them to confirm that they received it. They emailed me again stating they need it. I replied again. This cycle went on 6 times now. So far I emailed them 7 times with my FOID and ID plus my contact info. I have yet to get a response from them that they received it and my order hasn't shipped yet.

I was going to place another order when I received this one. I was planning on ordering another 500-1000 rounds of FGGM 175 SMK today since I got paid. But how could I if I haven't received my other order yet.


This is unlike them. Every time Ive ordered from them in the past they where extremely fast and I usually had my order in hand within 4-5 days. Now its been 10 days and they have yet to send my order or confirm they received my FOID.

I unfortunately also live in the socialistic state of Illinois. I ordered from Palmetto as well about a moth ago. I too had to send them my FOID information. Keep calling, it took several tries, but I was able to get a hold of a person. Strange thing was they shipped my ammo a day before I was able to get them my FOID information. They also took about two days to respond to emails. I hope they get back to you, those guys sure do have awesome deals on quality ammo.

I received another email today from palmetto stating they need my FOID. This is crazy. Does anyone have another number to call them? They must be having problems with there computer system.

I've never had trouble with them. They got my foid the first time, no problem. Wonder if your email or theirs is stripping out the attachment somehow?

I am in Cloumbia SC this week, and stopped by to check out one of their stores. Nice, seemed to have a wide selection.

At check out, I asked what kind os pecials they had and was floored.

They were selling lowers for $50. I told her I wanted two, of course since I am from out of state they wouldnt sell to me!!!

Ah well. Nice store anyway.

Ive never had a problem with them either. They have always been great. But now Im having a problem lol. If the attachment didnt load you would think they would say that. But I just keep getting an email saying to send my FOID. Its like they never read my replies.

I have purchased from them a few times. My only complaint is how slow they are. It usually takes 8-10 business days to receive products.

I had that problem a time or two myself. Come to find out, they didn't order the ammo until I placed the order with them. They said it was in stock, but in actuality it was in stock at their distributor.

Then, to make matters worse, I ordered it and in the meantime it went 'out of stock' at their distributor. They kept giving me the runaround until I finally cancelled my second order. THEN, they didn't refund my money the first request, so I had to call them and tell them that I was going to file a chargeback on my CC if they didn't refund it. Two days later the money was refunded to me on my account.

I won't deal with them again. Poor customer service. In my opinion.

I'm curious about what FOID is as well. In regards to their customer service, I don't like that you can't get an employee on the phone, but I've never had issues with them and I absolutely love their prices. I hope you can get this matter squared away. Good luck.

FOID is a Firearms Ownership Identification card. In the state of Illinois you have to send in a photo along with an application in order to recieve a FOID card. You cannot purchase firearms or ammunition without it. They match up the photo with your drivers license photo and the ID card they send matches your drivers license. They won't even allow you to hold a firearm in a gun store unless you present a valid FOID card. When I lived there it took 3 months to get my FOID after I sent in my application. I'm so glad I dont live in that ass backwards state any longer.

FOID card isnt that bad. Its basically an initial background check to make sure your not some criminal. The card is Valid for 10 years then you simply renew it for $5. The bad thing is the lack of Conceal Carry and the restrictions on suppressors and short barrel rifles. Plus they are always trying to screw with are gun laws here. Thank GOD for the NRA to help us stand up for our rights. If I could move out of this state I would. The taxes here are unbelievable.

Still havent heard back from Palmetto. I wonder whats going on with them. They are usually a great company to deal with, in fact I refer people to them all the time. I wish I could get someone on the phone or at least a reply by email stating what the problem is. Whether the IDs didnt upload right or what not. I just get a email stating to email my FOID and ID to them. So I have about 8 times now.

Palmetto has the best prices around and Ive always had my orders within 4-5 days but not this time. Its been almost 2 weeks now and dont see any light at the end of the tunnel.

FYI, they are opening a new store. Was there last week trying to buy stuff. They couldn't find pricing on the computer. I think they are trying to operate while not having there electronic systems up and running glitch free.

This is just crazy. I wish I could get a response from them. Ive always had great service too until now. I wanted to order more ammo as soon as I got this stuff in. The order Im waiting for is only 400rounds of Federal AE 308 150g fmjBT. Then I was going to get 500rnds of the FGGM 308 175 SMK and some more 5.56. Ill let you guys know what happens I sent them an email today again

Interesting to know about the FOID. I thought it was bad for us Californians...

I'm sure Palmetto will get you your order and make everything right. I'm getting ready to order some more FGMM from them, I think I'll wait until they get situated in their new store though.

Well Palmetto State Armory called me today and told me the attachments on the emails wouldnt download for some reason. I ended up faxing it and emailing it again. He apologized for the delay and told me it will be shipped out first thing in the morning. He said all orders usually ship in a day. Which has been true for all my past orders. Im glad this is finally coming.

I was looking for a deal on some FGGM .308 loads a while back. Palmetto state armory had my county on a no-sell list for some reason. I pointed this error out to them and they changed their policy and I got my ammo. Very responsive, very good price, I'l be back for more.

PSA is good to go, I have ordered quite a few things from them, they have only made one mistake, and they promptly sent out the missing parts. Last time I ordered, they where extremly busy, that was about 3 months ago.

Just place an prder for some AR parts, I expect they will ship in about a week.
