1 WEEK LEFT: This Target Haunts Me Contest
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Ok I want to get a few covers for my supressors but really not sure if a full cover is necessary for what I do. What about a cover that only covers the top half of the sup. and leaves most of the bottom exposed for cooling? What do you guys think?
Be interesting, but my "guess" would be you would have the same mirage issues as with none. But who knows, might work like a mirage shield, so who knows until you try it. Keep us all posted, because mine stays nice and hot if I am not able to slide the cover off between relays/stages.
How many rounds do you anticipate shooting at the bench in between taking a break?
Our SAS1 and SAS3 covers allow the cover to very easily be slid back on the barrel in between strings to allow the can to cool, and it's very easy to slide the cover back in place when shooting commences.
There would be quite a bit of work in constructing a cover that has a "window" in it without exposing the outer covering of the can to the hottest part of the can, that being the middle of the can.
it makes no sense to cover part of the can when the cover is what cuts your mirage down. when you are taking a breaking from shooting pull the cover off and let it cool.
