Just picked up an A-series SN# in .243. The metal is in great shape, the stock not so much. The bolt is slicker'n snot on a doorknob. Didn't mean to buy anything, but the price was sweet and I could not say "no."

This is going to make a nice donor.

I kinda ran into the same thing for my lightweight 243AI. Used a 1982 action that I picked up as an ADL rifle for $325 shipped. The rifle shot great.

I think this might be the action for my own LTR build. I have a nice McMillan HTG in woodland.
