PE stamp on rem 700 spst?

I have several 700's and all have the rep stamp on them. But I was just curious, on my spst there is the rep stamp and on the other side PE is stamped in. This is on none of my other 700's. Anybody know what this stands for? Gun is a .308 SPS Tactical short action.
