Im looking to purchase these but im not sure what size to get, LARGE or small.

Does anyone have a pic of the differencs in sizes in a pic when they are mounted?

Thanks

I checked the website and they didnt have any pics were you could determine the sizes from each other.

I shoot from a bench and prone if that makes any difference.

go with large claws. the small ones are fine but I felt like I got more stability with the larger feet. Just watch your barrel, the large claws will eat up your finish, they sell a protective cover.....

Longrange30,

The smaller claws 2.8" were designed for a more compact footing that would not come in contact with the barrel of a weapon that has a thinner stock system such as the Remington PSS.
The large Claws 3.25" work perfectly with AI stocks, AR-15, and similar systems.
Bench use: The MOUT rubber footings work very well on man made surfaces and perform well in loose soil due to their flat surface area.

Thank you,

I picked up a pair of the small claws a couple weeks ago. I think they are great and see no need for the large ones. (and when the bipod legs are folded up, it dont f-up your barrel finish)

I wish I would have known that earlier. The claws scratched the shit out of me Fn/SPR barrel. It's all good now, I had the action and barrel done in black Ceracote. Still going to look at the protective covers...unless I switch to an Atlas bipod.

Re: Phoenix Tactical Pod Claws

I could see the Larger claws working better on a AR (what im going to use it on) because of the more clearence an AR has than a bolt gun when they are folded up.

Going to go with the Large claws for my AR-platform.

Pics would help with the large claws on a AR and bolt gun while they are folded up.

Taken yesterday. These are small. You can add about .250 on these to get the large and see the clearance you get with an AR platform.
I'll find a pic or two with the large later on today.

Hope this helps,

I'd like to say it's a commemorative Harris gold bipod but...
I took a Harris and had it anodized what was called Earth color.
It turned out a light gold tan so I added flat black footings and an black DLOC upper. My Black and tan (gold-ish) bipod. with knurled adaptors.

I actually have a few Flat Dark Earth anodized Type3 hardcoat items.
Getting an anodizer to repeat the color is next to impossible.
There was one guy that could then he closed his shop and retireed.
