Of course. The ACOG TA11 in the photos below is mounted in a <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Larue LT100 QD Mount</span></span>. These aren't closeups', but I guarantee that there is plenty of clearance between the Troy BUIS and the the TA11's ocular.

No problems with the eye relief on them? My ACOG has supershort eye relief and I have it mounted in the rearmost slots on my upper. Wonder if it'd still be usable mounted what, 2-3 slots foward?

Re: Pic request: ACOG with Troy rear BUIS installed

Troy fits fine, as does ARMS LP, KAC 600 & 300 with the Trijicon or LT 100 mount.. It's like a 1.5" set of rings with a scope.
Go to a scope mounted on 1.275" rings and only the KAC 300M will fit. The 1.4" rings generally are a close proposition with a Troy rear sight, depends on the scope's ocular.

<span style="font-style: italic">No problems whatsoever</span>. The <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">TA11 3.5X35mm Series</span></span> have the longest eye relief of the ACOGs', making them a natural choice for mounting in front of the rear BUIS on any Colt or Colt clone rifle. I shoot my LWRC M6A2-S as you see it in the photos I posted in my previous post in this thread, but I can easily move my TA11 forward two slots and still have a "full scope". Trijicon's TA11 Eye Relief specs state <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">2.4"</span></span>, but in reality I have another 1/2" or so more than that.

Shooters are sometimes trained and/or prefer to shoot with their noses right at the charging handle. I don't like to be scrunched-up behind the scope, but a more forward position on the cheekpiece sometimes feels more intuitive. However, if you're having eye relief problems even with your ACOG mounted all the way back either you or someone else chose the wrong optic for the rifle. It sounds like you may need to use a collapsable stock and/or switch to an optic with longer eye relief.

If you are worried about eye relief issues with the TA31 or TA01 series, the ARMS #19S mount and #40 BUIS is the best. The mount actually cantilevers over the BUIS slightly giving you that little extra aft positioning.

With the TA33 and TA11 series, pretty much any combo will work as ther eye relief is much more forgiving.......maybe too much on the TA33's.

I have a ta31 and it works great mounted where it is. Just not sure if it'd work mounted further foward and in the wrong country to check right now.
