I would recomend higher rings in such case.
Cant see any reasons to stack potential problems.....

It is a night vision scope attached to an extended riser which needs to be further elevated. Since no one makes a one piece base for a Zeiss Orion I have to stack things on top of each other. Don't know whether it will work or not but that's the best I can come up with.
Any constructive solution is welcome.

That's a VTECH extended riser. I had to turn it around to position the NV scope far enough back, thus the nuts are on the ejection side. The long side bar of the VTECH is the real problem and not the nuts. Hoping a mini riser will take care of that.

Sorry brother, but that's just a big ole' pile of FUBAR. I would ditch that crap and start fresh.
Adding another deck of risers to it is a band-aid to your core issue.
If you are just dead set of adding another part, a YHM Riser would probably work. I would not use the mini-risers. I would just use the regular riser. I keep one on hand if i have to swap a ringed optic onto an AR type platform.

The scope comes with integral STANAG base (green part). Rifle comes with factory installed two piece Picatinny base (silver part). As far as I know no one makes a one piece rail for this Sako A7. Scope has to be set back where it sits now, or little further.
Short of a 400-500$ custom made base what would you suggest?

If a gunsmith try's to charge you that much for a base they are smoking crack. Like above find a machine shop and explain what you need. A good machinist can make what you need from bar stock in about 3.5 hours work if he has another rail to take measurements off of (cheating). Bring a rail with you explain what you need, bring the rifle but leave it in the car till he asks if you have it. You will most likely have to order screws for it but he can get around that if he's smart.

Thank you fellows. I am going to try the machine shop venue.
Don't have high hopes, cause around here a fart in the breeze costs over hundred bucks. Perhaps sourcing some blank bar stock from Brownells will make the price reasonable.

Don't go to brownells for stuff like that. Go to MSC industries. the bar stock will be actual price not inflated by the gunsmithing business and it will be exactly the type and shape you need.
