I have been looking at a new Anschutz 22LR. But I have also been looking at some used rifles. I found a Kimber of Oregon Classsic Model with just a few scratches. I can buy the Kimber for the same price as the Anschutz. What do you guys think?? I am not new to these rifles. I still own an Anschutz in 22 magnum, and have owned a few Oregon rifles, and still own a 3-gun NIB set. I need to make a decision. What do you guys think??

Pros?? Cons?? This is a tricky decision!! These are left handed rifles. The Anschutz model # is 1416LD. Thanks, Tom.

Annie all the way!
I found a Annie LH 64 MPR .. for my 10 year old son. We mounted a Muller scope and he loves it. Only real complaint is getting the pesky 5 round mags out.. other than that. it's fine.. not too heavy to carry and being a repeater is a plus in my book.
Good luck.

I agree with Top Predator:

New

Anschutz-Name,Reputation(Quality,Accuracy,ReSale Value)

Original Kimber of Oregon Mags are Scarce & Pricey!!

Anschutz-Quality NEVER Goes Out of Style!!!

My vote is also for the annie!!
Great triggers and all are known to shoot tinny little groups.

Re: Pick a 22

I think I am going with the Anschutz. My dealer is checking on the availabilty, and will get back with me on Monday. I just picked up a nice Zeiss 6X42 off Doug, and I think it would look great on top of a new Anschutz.

I have got a pretty nice LH-thumb hole stock customized 10-22 that I think I will list for sale next week. It is a nice shooter. I just do not care for the semi's. And I wanted a new bolt action I could shoot off the front porch. I wish the bolt's had a magazine like the Ruger magazine. that magazine is one of the nicer things about the Ruger. But then they do not make a LH bolt action. Tom.
