Picked up my first custom rifle..........GAP

I am an avid hunter and have owned a few nice rifles. Weatherby Ultra Light, Weatherby Accumark,and the like. I have a SPS Tactical that I was going to use as a base gun for a build, but George at GAP posted this beauty up last week and I snagged it!! I had him add the bolt handle and cut the barrel to 18 inches. Then he added the Surefire brake.
I just picked it up yesterday, and the bolt feels like it is rolling on bearings. I have never felt an action this smooth. I don't know what all was done to it, because there was no build sheet in the case. I do know it is NICE !!!

I have a set of Badger rings and a Leupold VXIII 4.5-14LR scope for it.

Welcome to the fraternity of GAP owners. Every time someone picks up one of mine and operates the bolt, they are awestruck. They cannot believe a Rem 700 can feel that slick. Then they shoot it . . .

It probably will not be your last GAP.

What's that beaut chambered in. Looks like a SA to me so maybe .308? Regardless, nice lookin' rifle...

Yeah, it us a .308 . I have not weighed it yet, but it is lighter than my SPS Tactical in a HS stock.

Good way to get in the custom rifle game in a big way! You will not be disappointed. I have a .308 in my gunroom with a 20" barrel in an HTG. It is a classy rig and shoots as you would expect.

That is cool looking rifle. GAP rifles is like Lays Potato Chips - you can't just have one. I have two at the moment and one in a build.

Don't think many will rip you on the scope if it's enough for what you intend to use the rifle for. Now it's up to you to decide if your scope does the rifle justice... good luck with that one haha.
