Is there a thread showing how well factory ammo can do? If not, can some of you guys put up pics of what your rifle is capable of with factory ammo? I would like to see some self-defense ammo in the mix, if possible, with 10 round groups (but 5 will do if that is all you have). In addition, I'd like to limit it to AR-type rifles with 16" to 20" barrels. Thanks.

Here is a 5 shot at 100 with one horrible mess up on my end (before I started the hide training of course) using Fiocchi 77gr SMK shooting from a 20" AR with a Compass lake engineering chambered Krieger 1-7.7 barrel.
Self defense ammo wise, Hornady TAP T2 75gr BTHP does really good if you have a 7 or 8 twist barrel and some 9 twist. If you can find it/afford it.

Nice group, save for that one flyer. Seems like 10 shot groups for your set-up would be equally impressive.

The gun does great, it's the goofball behind it with the issues lol. I seriously prefer the Fiocchi ammo if I have to shoot factory loads, the price is great and all of it I have tried shoots really good. I haven't tried any of the Black hills 77gr or Atlanta Arms but both are said to shoot really well.

This was with a 18" WOA SPR Barrel using Southwest Ammo 77gr SMK. Not sure if that qualifies as factory, but you get the idea.

If we play the hand load game, same AR that shot the above group but running 80VLD over 23.2gr IMR 8208 XBR.

Lol. It's what most people are used to shooting. I've seen first hand how shooting 10 shot groups really does give you a better sense of what the rifle and ammo will do. YMMV, of course.
