I've Laser Welded a fillet all around the joint of my Rem 700 bolt handle for extra reinforcement. It's not a good method to primarily attach a handle, but it's a great way to secondarily secure the handle to the bolt body for extra peace of mind. Best thing is - almost NO heat input, so nothing gets warped or out of tolerance. Very small, neat & tidy looking bead profile too.
