There was another thread on this question a while back, so if you search you can get more opinions there.. I have used both. I like the Reaper handle/platform better than most ball heads, although it would be better with a leveling base. The reaper fingers curve in a little, so if you want a rock solid grip on the rifle, it might have a slight advantage there. Overall, I like the pig saddle better, due to a combination of weight/usability factors. But I think the RRS Vyce is better than either the reaper or the pig saddle. Another option is mounting an ARCA rail on the forend of your gun and simply using that with a good ball head or leveling base with an appropriate clamp.
