Gunsmithing Pillar bedding an ADL

When pillar bedding with BDL or DBM the pillars are set in the stock and the bottom metal and action sandwich the pillars. When doing an ADL wood stock, I see where the rear action screw would suck up the trigger guard against the action, but what is going on with the front pillar? Do you just tighten the front screw up against the bottom of the pillar? Is it just epoxy holding that pillar in? It seams like under recoil over time it would break the bond between the pillar and the stock if there isn't and bottom metal to distribute the load on the bottom. Also what is the recommended torque value for a walnut ADL stock with aluminum pillars? Thanks
