This is probably a really stupid question, but since I can't seem to find an answer by searching Google without getting a ton of unrelated links... here goes...

After pillar bedding a stock, can you swap the barreled action used during the bedding process out with another action of the same manufacturer and sku assuming the same barrel profile was used on both and expect similar stability and contact?

For example a Vudoo V22 BA with 16" Kukri profile for an 18" V22 with a Kukri profile?

I would expect that some manufacturers with less tolerance control (i.e. Rmington) would have variances of a few thousandths, but not sure if that presents an issue or not.

Seems that it should be intuitive, but I am unfamiliar with how small variances in machining across actions would impact the performance expectation for a pillar bedded stock.

It's been done, but historically the process is treated as "action specific."

Better stuff with ground OD diameters, consistent tang geometry, and overall lengths will probably fall in well enough to work. M700s do pretty well too, but you gotta watch the ones that have been tried up as some guys get carried away with the receiver face cut. That has a big influence on the face to guard screw(s) distances/locations.

Just don't force it when trying it out.
