A simple SE stage 3. Fuel Moto header with SE open mufflers. teh wide open AC from SE, and yup I am suprised as hell my tuner is suprised as hell. This is the cheapest and most reliable power I ever put on a Harley and I've had some bigass power motors in the past.
I had a 5 year extended warranty thrown in the deal when I bought my 17. It's kinda hard to toss that out.
The power upgrade from my 09 is impressive and sometimes I get that Tim the Tool Man vibe and want more power. But I will wait a little longer.

No. Just the stock pipe for now. Don't want to void my warranty just yet.

I’ve never seen a Harley with stock pipes. Most leave the dealership with new pipes. How does that void the warranty.
the 107 actually seasons the stock pipes better than prior motors, he looks like he has a 2-1 so its even better. If I had to do it over I would have just put the header on and left the stockers.
In the manual it states any alteration to the emissions system such as the intake and exhaust may be in violation of motor vehicle laws. Parts other than HD approved may void the warranty.
Being that the catalytic converter is in the exhaust pipe and there's only a couple of "HD approved" pipes Harley Davidson has been voiding many warranties.
They got into a spat with the EPA because they were selling known parts that are not compliant with EPA guidelines. They paid a massive fine and came up with new rules. So basically you buy tuned down Harley aftermarket stuff or loose your warranty.
And it seems that the new M8 motor really likes a restricted exhaust. So opening it up and making it louder comes at a cost. A little bit is fine but too much has a negative return
Not this time, I know Howard well, I went with cheap ohlins this time,,, if I upgrade I will ride down to see the old coot. He is a grumpy dude but great to work with, took him to the VA after a crash and needed help, wife and me shuttled him til he got everything he needed. He is a marine, thus the grumpiness. Jersey boy, one town from me. When I retire I will probably go with cartridges and the #6 in the back. Had taht set up on my 09, he used my bike to experiment as I ride a lot.
I did teh set up myself. I can do my own builds too, self taught, self tuner too but Ed in Dallas is light years ahead of anyone else, I wasted so much money before I found Dyno difference, I mean I wasted thousands on just finding the right tuner.

I am not a fan of the slip transmission. The jury is still out on the linked brakes. We have a shit ton of curvy roads here and sometimes it sux to have the front brake grab when you just want to drag the rear a little.
I think black exhaust would look killer on that paint scheme.
I am not a fan of the total black out. But cutting down a bit of the chrome is not bad.
I am trying not to go crazy, I have two sport bikes, two dirt bikes and a GSA to look after also. Oh and a GROM.

Aunt Susie got one over in LA and it works wonders on her drive. Guess her neighbors borrowed it after seeing how great it worked and how easy it was.

Great looking bike Jerry. Not necessarily my cup of tea ( I looooove sportbikes), but that is one nice bike. A gentleman I work with has a Harley. I can't recall the color scheme, but it is sooooo good looking.
Part of the reason I bought it.
Had many good riding days together.
Still, can't be as relaxed with the wife on board.

Nice ride there AJ! Always wanted a HD, but even here in Wi. , dealers want too much for them and don't want to make it a "win-win" kinda deal. Wanted an "Ultra" a few years ago, but ended up with GW #2. Have to admit, no bike sounds as good as a HD with pipes and lopey(?) cam! Mac
was looking to ditch my KTM and possibly switch to a harley, Road Glide Limited for comfort for both the wife and myself, as all the roads we have here are straight, flat and boring, so wind in the hair is the only thing worth riding for really.
Looked at new and old, can't stand the new ones for one reason, feels like they put wheels on an Atari with all the electronic crap, I just want to ride, not surf xm and maps while trying to find the button for cruise. The sales guy said I wouldn't like the Ultra Limited because the wind catches the fairing? but I like the look better, the road glide seems to have a buffet bar in front of it for some reason.
Any opinions would help. Didn't realize the rest about the company though until reading this. A friend worked at the factory and said all the parts were made in japan to make them run anyway, electronics, carbs, fuel injection etc.

If you don’t want all the electronics, look for a 2015 or earlier. Or maybe a 2014 or earlier. Harley stopped making the road glide for a year and I don’t remember which year it was.
The newer bikes do have a buffer built in to the windshield to help cut down on wind, but on the FLTRXS, the windshield is so short it doesn’t matter.

Exactly this. No offense intended, but I never understood the folks who say that they don't like Harley as a company and still buy their bikes. Many other options that are faster, smoother, more reliable, ad infinitum. And most of the other options can be bought for less money.
marketing and knowing what you grew up with are important factors. It's actually got less American made parts than it's counterparts if anyone cares. They had to recall new bikes a few yrs ago and rewire as those chinese wires put them over the 50.01% threshold and the union went nuts. Harley is an icon but Indian is the true American motorcycle both historically and components wise. Fun fact, Indian was the only motor vehicle company not to make a profit on items sold to the US gov't during ww2. Indian didn't make a penny on any bike sold to Uncle Sam; now that is patriotism. It's ironic that Harley gained a foothold in the US bike mkt in large part as a result of ww2 profits as Indian mkt share and financial leverage was essentially retarded due to that decision. Within a decade, Indian would be a pimple in the US motorcycle mkt. Harley, wisely marketed police forces after the war as those ranks were littered with veterans and Harley and Indian were iconic during the war. I used to work for a large consulting firm and had to do work for Harley's liquidity positions at one point. Man did I see some cool stuff. I like Harley, I like Indians better. I will say however, absolutely love the look and features of the streetglide, not the hp and performance however.

One of the guys at work has one that made almost as much horsepower as my riding mower. Factory fresh from Harley is was a dog and topped out at about 73mph downhill. I've gone faster on a bicycle. When he retired, we kicked in and bought him some quality time from a local tuner and new leathers. We figured when the tuner was done it might go fast enough to be worthy of good riding gear.
In the last 15 years Harley has made only one bike that is faster than my car to 60mph or in the 1/4 mile and in half a mile it is 200 yds behind me anyway.
