A good traditioal breakfast would have been brotchen, a slice of cheese on one, a slice of meat on another and maybe slices of hard boiled egg on one.
Sereved with a good beer. Thats a mans breakfast in Germany at 6am.

Sweets treats and coffee are at 9 or 10am.

I worked some nato gigs based at german bases.

All the beer in Germany was the best, in Texas I like shiner .
Most German's consider American beer "hound wasser" aka dog piss. Lol
Even the German imports are not the same as you get there.
The brotchen was a poverty food during the war, if you had a thin piece of cheese or meat you were lucky.

I went from the north sea and down into bravaria , best bet was to sit down and raise a thumb.
Every little guest house had thier own local brew. The lagers in bravaria were my favorite.

Sitting at a table drinking beer with the locals at a nude beach on the north sea was also some good beer drinking, tip don't go in the water! Lol

I no-shit went halfway around the planet for the best beer. No, I just missed the Westveleteren 12, but did come back with cave aged Rochefort 12. Which is completely different after aging.

All trappiest breweries are in Belgium except one --that one's in Holland and it also makes a Quadrupel. Most of the abbey types are in that region too along with a slice of France. In Germany, you want the Acht Schlenkerla! Second would be anything else from Bamberg, 1516 FTW!
