when loading for pistols do you load for poi then tweek for better accuracy ? every pistol load i have loaded outta the books hornady,sierra speer alliant all hit way low i mean 2 ft at 25 yards just started loading for pistols and just trying not to waste alot of components . i have let several others shoot these loads also and same results for them i know different guns shoot different but went from 8.5 grains of power pistol behind a 185 hornady xtp to 9 grains it raised poi 1 ft . max load in all the manuals i have is around 9 grains gonna try 9.5 havent had any pressure signs oh the gun i am currently loading for is a springfield 1911a1 .45 acp thanks for any input.
