Suppressors Pistol rail-mounted light laser?

Re: Pistol rail-mounted light laser?

The Viridian has the laser close to the bore and it's fairly easy to adjust. Had it mounted to an HK USP 40 Compact and it worked like a champ. I highly recommend it.

Re: Pistol rail-mounted light laser?

wonder if the laser on the viridian would be low enough to clear a suppressor on your typical handguns

I know David and he is a "good to go" guy. Trust him.

Re: Pistol rail-mounted light laser?

I do like lasers on some weapons. For pistols I typically use Crimson Trace grips. For light/laser combination units I only have first-hand experience with the TRL-2 non-strobe version. It is extremely durable and well made. I like being able to set the switch for light only, laser only or both light and laser. I have a lot of experience with other SureFire weapon lights (non-laser models). I generally prefer the SureFire momentary switch to the TRL series lights.

With the TRL lights you press the lever down to the left for momentary and the opposite direction to click the unit into "constant on" mode. With SureFire you press in the back of either side of the latch for momentary and click the lever either direction for "constant on".

For me I find the SF setup a little easier and maybe even intuitive. Maybe that isn't the word I am looking for. LOL. I train with a pistol using both hands. So, if I am running the pistol with a SF light it doesn't matter which hand I am using to control the weapon. The action of my support hand is the same on the SF light. With the TRL, when I shoot right handed I have to press the switch down using my support (left-hand) thumb but when shooting left-handed I have to rock the switch up with my right thumb. The action is different. Make sense?? On the SF it is the same action - press in the switch with my thumb. I rarely flip the light into "constant on" as I prefer to illuminate in bursts as I move. I do NOT care for strobe because I don't like keeping the light on. It is just user preference. Strobes ARE very disorienting if you are on the receiving end but I can achieve much of the same effect working the momentary switch. However, that does require BOTH hands on the weapon if you intend to keep your weapon hand ready to run the gun instead of the light. So, constant on and strobe DO have their places.

The TRL series and SF lights are good kit. I personally own A TRL-1, TRL-2 and several different SF units.

Hope this helps.
