So, I'm working on my plans to start reloading 6.5 CM soon and starting to gather the materials I'll need. I already have the reloading equipment, just need the bullets, powder, and primers. I going to start w/ once shot Hornady brass ( I know, I know, not the best stuff out there). Gonna use H4350 powder. Now I'm looking at bullets, my gun seems to like 140 gn best so I'm looking at those. Do I just pick the one with the best G1? (I can't find them with the G7 listed). I know cost is a factor but they are all about the same in cost and I'm mainly wanting to go for maximum accuracy at around 1000 yds to 1350 or so. If this has already been covered in a post please point me that way, I couldn't find it.

Hornady brass is just fine. I am on my 8th reload of 6.5 H brass and primer pockets are still holding tight. Anneal and control neck tension and you’ll be fine.

If you wanna go to Lapua or Alpha after you have burnt through what you have, then go for it.

Checkout the 6.5 load data thread. Everything you need is in there.

H4350, 140 ELD, Hornady Brass, pick your primer and start your load workup.

These are a photo of load development that I did back with Hornardy brass and Federal large rifle primers. The Hornardy manual states that Max charge of H-4350 is 41.5 grains!!! I exceeded that but that was my rifle. Please work up. I hope this is of help.

140 gr eldm has worked very well for me. The Berger 140s are excellent as well. It cost quite a bit more. I've also had very good results with Lapua 139s.

Don't sweat the hornady brass. I've been using it for some time now and find it works just fine.

I shot the Berger 140 hybrids for a long time but they can be hard to find sometimes, I switched to the 140 ELD Match and I didn’t notice any difference in performance. There cheaper and easier to come by as well.

I had good results at 100 -1000 yds with 41.0 gr of H100V w/ Hornady 147 ELDM'S. LOADTO your chamber and tune to your bbl. Berger is always a good choice, new A tip 153 gr. Too.
