Rifle Scopes Pleasantly suprised with Nikon

I have owned several Nikon scopesover th years on hunting rifles, and purchased a Nikon Monarch X about six months ago. I dig the scope, worth the money. I had heard several horror stories regarding their service center though. Well three weeks ago I noticed what appeared to be oil droplets on the inside of the lense at low magnification. Sent it into the Nikon service center in California, they sent me a new one within 10 days of receiving it. They were definitely very easy to deal with, they returned the new scope via UPS two day, and the warranty service was no questions asked. Very good experiance.

Friend of mine has several Nikon's...no problems with them and he loves the glass.I must admit they're pretty clear and tough scopes( he still believes they're carrying handles).

I used to have one of these as well and can second your experience.

I ended up getting rid of it because I wanted to familiarize with an ffp mil/mil scope but I liked the Nikon. It's great for a cheap scope.
