I bought this used rifle a week ago and have yet to shoot it. The gunstore owner told me it is a Sabre Defence with 1 in 9" twist.
However, I can't find any Sabre markings on the upper, bolt or barrel. I tried to look for pictures of common Sabre markings but none of them seem to match my rifle. The lower is clearly a Sabre, but I am starting to have doubts about the upper, including the bold assembly and barrel. It has been suggested to me that the "07" marking on the barrel is the manufacturing date. I have been shooting for years but am fairly new in the ar15 world.

So, can anyone identify this rifle for me and the rate of twist it has?
I will be shooting PMC 55gr FMJ-BT Bronze Line.

These are ALL the markings I could find.

The Key Hole logo is the logo for Cerro fabricated products, but that won't be much help because they do forgings for almost every manufacturer under the sun

Might be a bit hard to ID the markings since it's a European build and the semi-auto forum is dominated by us Americans. However, all is not lost.

Just run a rod with a patch on it into the bore, make a mark, pull it for one revolution letting the rod twist on it's own (non-swiveling rod end) and measure how far it traveled to make that one turn. There's your rate of twist, and you did it in one minute's time.
