lol I'd be really surprised if they broke the price at all since they know there are only 2 importers....

Re: PLRF05 and PLRF25C... prices on these new units

I recall that some PLRF's could also measure target speed. Do you know if PLRF 25C is the one that does it? I didn't see it in its brochure...

    Tnx!

    Group Buy?

I read that the warranty is only 1 year. Does this worry you guys?

On the 5? Pretty sure its longer than a year on my 10.

Re: PLRF05 and PLRF25C... prices on these new units

Do you think the price will come down on the other PLRF10,15,C? The 15C is not that far behind the 25C... When I buy, I would definitely look at all 3 closely... Besides the Military, I can't see the mainstream lining up to dish out 8Gs for a range finder, this economy is just not there yet...

Re: PLRF05 and PLRF25C... prices on these new units

Never say Never... Didn't CoryT work some magic on 15 Vector21's a few months back? I remember him giving those things away for about 9 Gs.. The V21s go for about 19gs... Not bad... Although I missed the boat, the units were way to big for this small timer...

Errr that was a completely DIFFERENT situation. Very very different.

Re: PLRF05 and PLRF25C... prices on these new units

These are meant for civilian sales correct? At least that's what I thought of the 5', and I wonder if the 4k range on the 25 means more like the 2400 on the 5/10 is really upper 3k range on a good day from peoples report.Looks like the 10c is still cheaper than the 25c.

Re: PLRF05 and PLRF25C... prices on these new units

These are the most robust units I have ever seen, hopefully people will buy more and the price will be a little lower next year.

My PLRF05 has a nice hunk of debris on the inside of the lens. It's the big black thing at left top of reticle. Left a voicemail with Vectronix USA but no response yet.

Re: PLRF05 and PLRF25C... prices on these new units

That is horrible throttle, I would give you 300 dollars for it so you don't have to deal with such crap

Are you offering $300 for the piece of debris?

I don't think you can have more than one BT device talking to a computer (Nomad in this case)? So it would be either Kestrel or PLRF-25C?

But sure enough, 25C seems to be the longest-reaching PLRF, especially in a less-than-perfect weather...

Re: PLRF05 and PLRF25C... prices on these new units

You have a point there mouse07410... I will have to look into that....

A computer can communicate with more than one BT device simultaneously.... (keyboard and mouse, wireless headphone), but that doesn't mean that the Nomad will, you're right...

Re: PLRF05 and PLRF25C... prices on these new units

On the other hand, you have a point there too, jrivera - since we do know that computers communicate with e.g., BT keyboard and BT mouse simultaneously, it can mean that a unit that implements BT "host" profile would/should support multiple BT "device" peers.

I'd be interested to learn what you find out wrt. this.
