So I was at my local shop and saw an older POF 308 piston gun on consignment. Owner wants $1900 and some change for it. I have a reflex can that would be an awesome addition to this gun. It would be a sweet big boy recce style carbine. The only problem is I only know of mixed reviews on POF. Seems like they are either a disaster or the best rifle someone has owned. This one appears to be an older model with the shorter/thicker handguard. I saw some wear of the coating around the edges of the ejector port, so it has seen some use. Being that it's a 308, I am not overly concerned. What would the value be on this and is it worth taking a shot on?
Thinking it would be sweet with a reflex suppressor, 1-8x optic and illumination.
