Looking to pick up a POF Revolution 308 and I’m trying to decide piston vs DI version. I know the basics about the differences but wasn’t sure for long term which would be a better bet. Thanks

There is no “better bet”, period. It is absolutely all personal preference, and this thread most likely will devolve into a train wreck shortly. Each camp has pros and cons, and they also both harbor some *very* angry individuals that will physically threaten you (from behind a keyboard) if you don’t agree with their choice of gas system.
If you don’t believe how batsh** crazy people can get over something so trivial, there is a hot thread right now comparing POF, DD, and some other mfg. that is truly stranger than fiction.


That said, I prefer my piston Revolution; it is super clean and I like to shoot in my church clothes every now and then!

I have a POF Revolution DI. It was kind of a panic buy but I liked the idea of being able to tune my gun especially if I invest in a suppressor.
However, I agree with Mr. Fast_Hand.
