Counterfeit coupons are a huge business and an immense problem for retailers. I am not saying this lady was using a bogus coupon or not. This is only news because this lady was black, African-American or whatever she prefers to be called. This racial/sexual political correctness has me stymied. Don't know whether to call a young lady, "Miss" anymore because of possible backlash as being some sort of dirty old man or something even worse. So anyone I talk to you just gets a generic "you" because it denotes a single person not me, us, them or they. I feel that is about as safe as I can get it without crushing someone's fragile ego or personal space. Personally, I get offended when the local retailers in my area who know me, check the $20 bills I use to purchase an item. As far as the OP, the only thing that made this newspaper article newsworthy is because of the lady's skin color. This article would not have made press if the woman had been of a different color.
