Right now I have the IOR 3-18x42. I love everything about the scope except how little distance between the turrets and the magnification adjustment. Anyway I am considering getting a viper pst or a razor. I have not seen any post this year comparing the viper vs the razor. What is the biggest difference between the 2. Also could anyone compare the 2 to an IOR. I may also go with the IOR 3-18x50.

While i don't have first hand use with either. Theoretically speaking your IOR should be clearer than the PSTs and overall just a better scope. The razor on the other hand is in the same tier as USO and Nightforce's FFP IMO. Or thats how i would like to think of it based on price and reviews i've read.

I believe the IORs compete with the Razor. The 3-18X50 is supposed to correct a lot of the problems on the 3-18X42, but it looks like you're having different ones. What turret distance are you referring to? And is the magnification ring too stiff? or loose?

I have molested both model of scopes. I would not even say they are in the same category. Only in outline and pricing are they in the same category. The PST is very simplistic and feels that way. When adjusting the PST turret you will feel the same I am sure. The ior is built to take some punishment. Just my .02.

My IOR will not move back enough without an extended base to have correct eye relief. It works fine with the extended base, I just don't like it. I am hoping to find a 50mm IOR used, but then I started considering Vortex.
