I'm not defending some of the crap said by BR.

The US was arming terrorists in syria. That is fact. The Trump admin said they were stopping that and if I remember correctly it was said that it wasn't effective. Had russia not entered to help syria, I suspect we would still be arming the terrorists to try to remove assad. It looks like assad stays (at least for now), but we did get the benefit of moving massive amounts of arabs out of the ME and increased numbers of jews moving to israel.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but your numerous remarks in your posts are defamatory, inflammatory and insulting to your intended audience. In my relatively short time here, I have observed that the majority of people have actually done a lot of homework and research on the various topics that they post about. Just because their opinions don't agree with yours, does not in any way mean that they are ignorant (and that your level of intelligence is by default, greater than theirs). If you are truly interested in open dialog and discussion, welcome. If your only interest is insulting others and acting superior, your intended audience is going to shrink up pretty fast.

You say 'not much...' And in the grand scheme of the federal budget, it's not much. But put it in these terms.

The average taxpayer pays 10,750 in taxes. That is the average of the <50% who actually pay taxes and don't just suck off the public teat....

This represents the entire added-up-together amount paid by 24,372 Americans. More than 24,000 ciitizens... whose entire federal taxes gets blown on this crap? Their money getting pissed away in the OVERAGE that the bloated UN spends on its worthless foreign 'diplomats' and staff.

Waste of money. Waste of breath. Defund the whole thing and kick it out of New York!

In fairness to BR $285 million is @ 2.85% of total US annual expenditure on the UN. Hopefully that is just the start.
