Possible that a factory "new" gun look like this?

Just bought a new Savage. I was a bit shaken when I looked at the bolt face and chamber. Can 5 or so test firings at the factory cause these? Thanks

Maybe someone decided to test it a few more times.
I look at the bolt itself to see how much wear is on it from being cycled.
Look at the bright side, someone may have helped break it in for you. LOL
I would send the pictures to your dealer if you have problems with accuracy, otherwise just shoot it and enjoy it.

I always run solvent patches down my rifles out of the box, you wouldn't believe how many passes it takes sometimes to clean up after their test fire. Other times it just takes very few, I always figured they sometimes took multiple shots and sometimes took just one.
