I've loaded 6.5 Creedmoore successfully and would like to try my hand at .308 with the end goal being precision/reliable/repeatable. I've purchased a set of Forster FL sizing die and micro meter seating die. The rifle is likely the biggest question in the equation. It's an AR10 w/a 18" SS barrel.

    So...

What powder and which bullets do you suggest for me to start? Brass? Primers?

I've have some once spent brass of various quality to begin.

I'm using RL15, SMK 168's and 175's, CCI34 primers, new Lapua brass. It's kinda like a higher quality M118LR I'm told. Lapua brass is a pretty good deal in .308 if you order 1000 pieces direct from Lapua USA. You need an expander mandrel for new Lapua brass though, it'll fuck up some bullets in seating if you don't.

Not leaving a weight, you'll need to work up to that, but it's on the higher end. And COAL on these so far are loaded to SAAMI specs, but after I get all the brass 1x (the goal for Lapua brass) I'll start tailoring the loads more specifically for the SR25.

For the FAL, I get bulk brass and bulk FMJ bullets and just make it happen.
