i have a lee perfect powder measurer. its starting to hang up on me and dump little powder one time and alot of powder the next. its a 20 dollar item and i didn't expect it to last forever.

i trickle charge EVERYTHING i load so my despenser doesn't have to be extreamly accurate. what would you folks buy? im thinking another lee. i was planning to upgrade but the net closest one in price is 50 bucks extra

I would disassemble it, find what is misbehaving and fix it.

HAHAHAHA Nice !!!

+1 on the RCBS Uniflow

But before you do that rip your Lee thrower apart and see if you can fix it first

Re: powder despenser

I have 2 RCBS Uniflows, one my Gen 1 Prometheus, the other has a small drum set up for pistol rounds, both work great, and throw repeatable charges, I would try cleaning the Lee PPM first before I bought something else

Re: powder despenser

I never could use a thrower, I had not the patience, nor the time. My Dad bought me a Lyman DPS 1200 for Christmas a few years ago and I will never use a thrower again. They are worth every penny.I do understand that the Lyman is not the best option, but any of the electric ones are better than throwers/tricklers.

Re: powder despenser

I have both the patience and time for precision reloading and no digital anything is on my bench. I prefer to depend on ME rather than a gadget, but that's a personal thing.
