I have several boxes of Berger's 230 gr. Hybrid bullets.
Before I begin loading I'd like some ideas from those who have use similar weight rounds in .300 Win mag.

I also have Fed 215 primers and Winchester Large Rifle primers. I prefer the Federal 215 pills.

The powders I CURRENTLY have are:
1. Vihta Vuori N560
2. IMR 4350
3. H4831 (short cut)

Any suggestions fur a "better" powder?

N-165, N-570, both are great with a heavy bullet, works loads with MagPrimers-try several brand of LgMagPrimers, not just with these Vihtavuori powders, but will all the slow burners-it will really make a difference when you find the right load.

In another thread Bryan Litz said h1000, h4831 and magpro.

Also large rifle primers instead of magnum primers.

Like was previously said, LRP not magnum primers. Somewhere between 67-68 grs of that 4831 will give you an accurate but not very fast load.

what is the reasoning behind LRP instead of magnum primers ?
I use H1000 with fed mag primers -so far great results-

It's all here:
