Powder Meter Binding Up

Hey guys. I picked up an RCBS Uniflow III for quick powder drops on practice ammo.
When using it with Varget, the drum was binding/jamming up every so often, probably smashing some kernels in the process.
Has anyone experienced this and, if so, any remedy not involving tossing the away?

Normal with extruded powders, part of the game.

Yes, it's annoying. Custom-made longer handle gives me more leverage to effectively "cut" the kernel when loading IMR 4064. Still within +/- 0.1gr on the drop despite the "crunch".

Lee Perfect Powder Measure handles extruded a little bit better, since it has a rubber wipe

Using a baffle and the double tap method helps, ie moving the lever about half way down then a quick up then dump, the RCBS unit is perfectly fine, there is a reason they are on all Gen 1 and 2 Prometheus scales, and yes I have a Gen 2
