There's lots of other sources, but it would be pretty tough to find anybody that would beat them consistently on prices.
You'll find a lot of folks running sales and shipping incentives, but Powder Valley is hard to beat for every day pricing on powder and other components.

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

I was looking for a competitor of theirs, someone who offered the same products and pricing.

There are many suppliers of these products and I have done business with several of them but they just don't offer competitive pricing.

Someone that will be willing to take your order or return a call when you need tonplace a order.

10 days is too long to wait to give someone your business.

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

Been buying from PV for many years. Fast, courteous service. I buy all my powder and bullets from them. No need to look elsewhere.

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

I've never had a problem with them. And I've done it on the phone and on line. Never found anyone who could beat thier prices if it was in stock. He's even contacted me when what I am looking for came back in stock.

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

Every once in a while something will slip -- we're just human, it happens. Considering my great experiences with PV, I'd pick up the phone and call them. Over the long haul, I don't think there's anyone who beats them. My opinion.

Give them a call, I'm sure they will make it right. Great people to deal with.

I also buy from Grafs and sons. Shipping is usually free so that kind of off sets the extra price.

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

Thanks again for your help.

I agree that PV is great to deal with never a problem with any of my orders in the many years that I have done business with them.

But I did give this order to a forum supporter 3rd Generation Supply and I will see how this goes.

Happy Thanksgiving

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

Between powder valley and 3rd generation shooting supply, I find it difficult to buy from anyone else. Both of their prices are great and things arrive at my house in 2 days no matter how they ship.

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

3rd Generation is good to go! I was very happy with them and will use them in the future. Also check out Bruno's - good pricing on Lapua brass and bullets.

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

also a fan of PV... they are definitely not the most modern website, and their communication is on the lower side, but they ship promptly and prices can't be beat.

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

kwak, this isn't directed at you, so please don't take it personally.

Too many people want dirt cheap prices AND great customer service. That's very hard to provide, these guys are working on small margins, they can do so by limiting support staff and just having people working hard to fill orders.

If you want dirt cheap prices then shop online, submit the order, pay right then and wait for goods to arrive.....nothing else.

If you want questions answered, hand holding, etc. then you might have to pay a little more so that the company can actually afford to hire some support staff.

Now as to PV, I've had good luck, mostly placed orders and it showed up. I have had a phone call or two over the years and a couple emails too, but this is rare, I know that time is money and when I order from them I just want the best prices and no other help.

Very true.

I find PV to be incredibly easy to work with, I always get someone on the phone, their prices are typically better on most items than other vendors, and they ship within one business day (with realistic shipping charges). Other lower price online sites entice you with an initially lower cost and then whack you on shipping charges at checkout. PV also carries a large selection of reloading supplies and their in stock % is very high.

Re: Powder Valley-- Is there another option?

PV was the ONLY place that would accept backorders for primers/powder during the big scare before/during/after the last presisential election. At least the only one I could find. And they delivered surprisingly sooner than expected. GTG in my opinion.

Other than them, I've always got good results with:
Wideners.com

Midsouthshooterssupply.com --they seem to have raised their prices a bit more than others, but not near like Midway etc.
