Got the bug to try out this powder after some positive reviews on the forum. Thanks to everybody who guinea pigs there time and money to help everyone on here.
I am new to the precision shooting world, but not new to shooting. So, this is my first time developing a load for my rifle. I chose to do 3 shot groups; look for potential and go from there.

Rifle: Bone stock Remington 700 SPS Varmint
Vortex Viper PST 4-16 FFP Mil
AAC 7.62SD Supressor

First bulllets with Power Pro is the 155 gr Berger Hybrid.
Brass: New Lapua
Primer: CCI BR2
O.A.L.: 2.810

Next is the Hornady 178gr BTHP.
Same Specs as above.

All shots were taking with a bi-pod and a Badger Bone in the rear.

Chrono is a good thing. I bet you see that the accuracy loads on those targets are faster than you think. I have noticed that I'm getting Alliant's published max velocities about 1.5 grains below the corresponding book charge. Example, 175 SMK, book max is 47.7 gr at 2720 fps. At 46.2 gr, .010 off lands in Win brass with CCI 200 primers, I get 2747 fps and sub half moa with a factory rifle. Hornady SST 165 gr max book is 50 gr at 2840 fps but at 48.4-.5 gr I get 2852 fps and .5-.6 moa accuracy. (all avg of 2-3 5 shot groups, both velocity and size). Now that I bump my shoulders and uniform flash holes, my SD is always under 15 fps or so. Some people swear the groups get tighter the more of this powder you pack in. I'm happy with what I have. I have a couple hundred of those 178's, I'll be trying my SMK load with them and will post velocity when I do.

Here's a 4 shot group from 300yds with 47.5grs 2000MR, 2.850" oal.
And another group shot at 200yds, both 178HPBTs. Try 47grs RE15 with the 155s.

That is some great info guys, thanks. I'm really hoping that 44.5 gr load wasn't a fluke and that it is a decent velocity. My 48 gr load had a slightly sticky bolt with just a tiny extractor swipe; but i yanked the pull to right on the first one which was the far right impact. So, I think I found the low and high node. Going to take them to distance and see.

Forgot to add this. What should I do about the 155's? Its a long throated Remmy, so it has to be able to jump to be able to work in present condition.

Anyone have real world velocity and temperature stability with this powder?

I have my 155AMAXs set off the lands quite a bit, oal is 2.850", im sure more than 110" off the lands, it still shoots .89moa out to 300yds.

Re: Power Pro 2000MR - 155 Berger Hybrid & 178 BTHP

I tried the PowerPro 2000 MR with the A-Max 178 bullet. I shoot a Savage 110FP in .308. My OCW tested a range from 45.6 gr. to 47.8 gr., with an approximate 0.3 gr. increment between rounds. My identified "sweetspot" was 46.5 gr. to 47.2 gr., with a midpoint of 46.8 gr.

I then tested 5 5-shot groups @ 200 yds., each group having a different seating depth ranging from 0.010" off the lands (2.253" to ogive)to 0.050" off the lands (2.213" to ogive).

Conclusion: the 178 A-Max with 46.8 gr. of PowerPro 2000 MR with an OAL (to ogive) of 2.243" (0.020" off the lands) produced the best 5-shot group with a 0.594 MOA (maximum spread) at 200 yds.

I'm thinking misprint on the MR / LR designation, as I'm also thinking there's only one 2000, 3000, etc.

I'm not aware of both a 2000MR and 2000LR; I think there's only one. But perhaps I'm mistaken...

I think you are right on the misprint..Looked at the website and that confirms what you are saying...
