Last night Panty 6 received a call from home. Her mother described how her father had a light stroke a while back. Yesterday morning he would not wake up. An MRI discovered two seperate clots, one on either hemisphere of the brain. The prognosis is,"It will be a miracle if he wakes up"
Clifford Henry Ayau, although, initially a strong adversary against marrying his daughter, has come to be a great friend to me over the past 25 years. He has shown nothing but the greatest amount of Aloha to my small Ohana. I will do my best to remain as strong as possible so I can be the shoulder for Shannon to lean upon. This will be a long road filled with many nights of prayers and thoughts for Cliff to awaken and get back to being the man we all love. I for one,am not quite ready to lose a father in law who I have come to deeply respect and love. I know for certain that Shannon is not ready either. Although she always talks to her mom, she just seemed to not quite get her father on the phone for the last few weeks.
I only pray for the best for Barbara, Shannon, and Pualani as a husband and father lies dormant hopefully fighting to awaken. The pain is shared among us, and the love is strong within us all as we await any word from Oahu.
