I just met and had a brew with a fellow Hider whose name Ill not mention to respect his privacy. Hell of a nice guy, hope we meet again before long.

He was in Charlottesville with his wife, Fiona, who was getting an MRI to check on her battle with brain cancer.

Im not much on the religion so Ill just reiterate,

    Prayers for Fiona.

    Get well, girl.

    Fuck cancer.

    This right here X100...

We always hear "war on guns", "war on climate change", "war on fossil fuels", etc... Why the fuck not WAR ON CANCER and War On Genetic Diseases???

Those are areas that should be receiving the next highest amount of state funding right after national defense.

    Prayers sent.

    Its dusty here.

I know I have told it and its a huge part of who I have become. My mom had cancer when I was 4 (1984). I used to dump and rinse her puke buckets while she did chemo as I wasnt in school yet. Needed done and she couldnt stop heaving.
Started me early on my career......
She turned 28 yrs old the day of her last chemo infusion. Was told to enjoy the summer coming as it was her last.
Just talked to my mom on the phone today about more training for her CCW and improved positioning of her holster while carrying. Gonna pay for her another class for her 63rd birthday this year. Kick ass lady.

Cancer sucks. God is good (to all of us).

May Fiona and our brother @Ravenworks both be triumphant in their battle with cancer. And be blessed with little pain and much peace in their hearts while fighting.

24 years clean. Told the doctors they had one shot, I was busy and didn't have time for this shit - verbatim. You will beat it, no matter how bad it gets, you do not have time for this shit, you have too much to do in your life. I'll say a prayer for you.

I know no one here but had to step in after previewing the title.
I lost a grandfather in the mid 80's, my father in '15 and his dad last April.
lost a good friend in '12 and one of his brothers, also a close friend is currently fighting.
I know cancer all to well.
Please send my prayers to your friend, and his wife Fiona.

@Ravenworks I wish you well also.

That is one hell of a battle your mom had been through and I hope she stays as strong as ever. That was intense to read, man...
