Can Pre-ban AR's be sold to California residents with no restrictions???

I have a Colt HBAR with a MH prefix I'm considering trading / selling, and was curious if I could do any transactions with our Kommifornia brothers?

I'm getting conflicting answers when I search the interweb....

The Colt can't be shipped to Kalifornia at all for a private individual, it is banned by name. Cop or dealer with certain qualifications yes.

Thanks Randy. I thought that if it was a pre-ban that it was exempt... Hate that.

I would look to selling a preban in NY for a Colt, and in CT for anything other than a Colt.
