Is there any particular primer that you would recommend over another as far as accuracy goes?

Any particular one to stay away from?

My loadings are currently .223 and .308

Are Bench-rest or Match Grade primers really any better?

Thanks in advance!

I use Wolf Small Rifle Magnum for my 223 and have had great results. For 308 I use CCI BR-2's.The only primer I choose not to use are Winchester due to the soft primer cups.I like the old chrome plated Winchester primers. But they are no longer being made.

At the end of the day it comes to to brand preference.I have found during testing that some brands will work better than others with certain loads. When I find a good combo of primer and load I set aside a bunch of primers for that load combo.

I also try to buy a large quantity of primers from the same lot that I found yield small standard deviation.

Regards,Mike

My chronograph and targets tell me there is no difference between Fed 210/210m, CCI 200/BR2, only my wallet knows the difference, IMHO the critical things of long range accuracy is precise powder charges, seating depth by Ojive, and annealing everytime, I'm sure there are 4-5 shooters on this forum that can shoot the difference between Match and Plano primers, I'm not one of them.
